Senior Material Artist

Vincent is a Senior Material Artist with more than 12 years of experience in the game industry. He has a Conceptor Draftman Degree from the Emile Cohl School in France, and started working in 2010 at Ubisoft Annecy on the Assassin's Creed franchise. After years of Environmental Art he moved to Ubisoft Quebec as a Material Artist and then Lead Material Artist on amazing productions such as Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Immortals Fenyx Rising. He is currently working as a Senior Material Artist at Eidos Montreal on an unannounced project.

Equipped with strong art and technical background, Vincent has already taught and provided training with numerous professionals within the companies he’s worked for, including vendors or during events such as the GDC.

 

Material Art Mentorship

This mentorship includes 5 hours of one-on-one training, custom-tailored to suit the mentee’s specific needs. We will build a development plan together in order to level up your skills and help achieve your goals.

We are going to cover every aspect of material from reference gathering, selection, usage, artistic concepts such as readability, the rhythm of color or shapes but also actual creation using Substance Designer, Painter or ZBrush, and so on, depending on your needs.
Depending on the project you will settle with Vincent, you might take a material from start to finish including renders for your portfolio or you can also start from a personal scene.

The mentorship is designed to help break through plateaus, build confidence, increase technical aptitude, and provide a clear path of continued growth and success.
