Mark Tanner

Gameplay Animation Director

Mark Tanner is a Gameplay Animation Director at Microsoft Game Studios (The Coalition Studio), former Product Owner of Animation at Autodesk, and has previously held positions such as Gameplay Animation Director and Technical Animation Director at Ubisoft on Far Cry 6.

Early on in his career, he has held almost every animation position, from Story Board Artist to Animation Director on over 20 shipped AAA game titles. Working for companies such as Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Capcom, Disney, Marvel, and XBOX (343 Industries).

A graduate of the 3D Animation and Digital Effects program (Class 16, 1999) and former mentor at the Vancouver Film School, Mark brings over 20 years of experience specializing in animation production for video games, film, VFX and AR/VR solutions.

Animation and Technical Animation Mentorship

Whether you are transitioning from MotionBuilder, new to the world of motion capture, or you want to explore Unreal Engine, we can put together a plan to start you on your journey to acquiring these high-demand skillsets.
